ICDL is the digital skills standard. We’ve worked together with SOLAS, the Further Education and Training Authority of Ireland, to offer you free digital skills elearning on a wide range of subjects.
You can access the free elearning through your local ETB college which are based across the country.
How can ICDL help me?
Recent studies have shown that ‘every job is a digital job’. There are actually only 2 roles which don’t. It’s not just the IT department who need good IT skills. Here are some examples:
If you work in HR, you could avail of our word processing course to improve your reports, data protection to protect employee and applicant’s personal information, or online collaboration to improve how you work together with colleagues across the business.
If you work in accounts, you might already be a dab hand at spreadsheets, but we’ve got an advanced course to help you master the advanced calculation features of Excel. You may also benefit from IT security, to help secure the financial details of customers and the advanced databases module – you may be surprised what you don’t know about them.
If you work in marketing, you’ll likely be expected to deliver perfect presentations, so you may benefit from our advanced presentations course. Image editing will help you use engaging imagery in your collateral and the web editing course will give you the tools to create quality websites to sell your products and services.
If you’re a sole trader, you may benefit from computer and online essentials to get your business online. Web editing will give your company a web presence, essential in today’s online world. Spreadsheets will help with your tax returns and let you keep a close eye on your accounts from day to day.
